Software Switch SC832

Typically, Port 3 (9DB25) of the SC832 cable plugs directly into the RS-232 port of a DCE device such as a modem.

Ports 1 and 2 (RJ-45 jacks) are then connected by special cable to two DTE devices such as a PC, Terminal, CRT or Printer.

Port 3 may communicate with either Port 1 or 2.

Additionally, Port 1 and Port 2 may communicate with each other.
